ALBA Noosa – Noosa’s latest premier food destination, with Sunshine Coast produce and the local community at its heart.
Tucked away in Noosa Heads with calm grassy surrounds, ALBA embodies the essence of fine food and the natural elements of its coastal surrounds. Situated on Alba Close and built on the site of the original ‘Noosa White’ sand quarry, ALBA is the Latin word for “white” and Spanish “sunrise” or “dawn”.
The beautifully designed venue combines a providore, pizzeria, cocktail bar and linen-set restaurant. Lunch and dinner in our linen-set restaurant provides a premium serviced experience while ALBA bar is a more casual setting, serving beautiful cocktails and chilled local beers into the evening with a tasty bar snack menu and wood-fired pizza able to be enjoyed in casually elegant surrounds.
The beautifully designed venue stands out with a feature entrance, bar and dining room. Floor to ceiling glass gives the space a light open ambience that overlooks calm lawns and garden making it the perfect Function venue or wedding reception venue for groups from 20 people to 170 people.
The venue also features ALBA Chef’s Kitchen, a creative space and state-of-the-art kitchen that hosts cooking classes, private chefs’ tables, and a purpose-built kitchen filming studio.
The menu features Peter’s signature style of global flavours and the Sri Lankan spices of his childhood, expressed in a contemporary manner to let seasonal produce and local seafood shine through. Those looking to enjoy Peter’s signature dishes such as the now famous snapper curry and mouth-watering crustaceans will not be disappointed.

Peter’s childhood experiences cooking with his Grandmother in his ancestral home in Colombo, Sri Lanka inspired him to become a chef and incorporate spice and tradition into modern cuisine.
His signature style has been enjoyed for many years at Sydney’s Flying Fish Restaurant, Flying Fish Fiji and in his hometown at the iconic Noosa Beach House, where he recently departed after 8 successful years to begin establishing his newest venture, ALBA by Kuruvita.
His previous cookbooks, ‘Serendip – My Sri Lankan Kitchen’ and ‘My Feast’, along with 5 x ‘Peter Kuruvita’ TV series produced with SBS Television, combine beautiful scenery, culture, and local cuisine.
Peter also keeps busy with his ambassadorial work with Dilmah Tea, hosting culinary tours for World Expeditions and frequent guest chef appearances at leading hotels around the world.
